Great bang for the buck

We have just returned from a week at the Hotel Louvre Sainte Anne and found it to be wonderful.  The location is ideal.  The Louvre, metro, Monoprix and Roissybus are all within an easy ten minute walk.

We stayed in a top floor balcony room and the extra twenty euros was well worth it for the table and chairs with a perfect view of Sacre Couer.  Great spot for small al fresco dinners when you’re too tired for a restaurant.

The hotel fronts a relatively quiet, one way street so night noise was not a problem.

The staff is friendly and professional.  The ladies at the front desk are warm and welcoming and went beyond the norm in helping me to print out our boarding passes on the hotel computer.  By the way, at least on United Airlines, you cannot obtain a boarding pass online, but must stand in the painfully slow line at CDG.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but their cafe au lait was delicious and let us jump start our mornings without having to leave our room.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone for whom value, service and location are more important than luxury or a “name.”
